Strength-based coaching

Our techniques draw on the latest research in positive psychology, adult learning and development, and neuroscience. We teach you to harness your own strength. This enables you to break free from current roadblocks, reach your full potential, and develop a positive, go-getting mindset.

Our approach helps you understand personal development. It involves moving beyond thinking and wishing, to creating behavioural change through achievable action plans. Our coaching also incorporates methods developed from narrative coaching practices and whole systems analysis, which considers all the dimensions of a your inner and outer worlds. This generates context for active reflection, leading to positive changes.

But the real key to our success is our coaches’ genuine understanding of the challenges of a financial adviser’s world. Through our coaching conversations, which balance connection, trust and tension, you will learn the personal value you add to client conversations.  Coaching provides a safe space for change, learning and growth to occur.

Coaches help keep you accountable to yourself.  As good coaches, we  will help you hold your crucible of change. This is a coaching tool used to refer to a situation in which something is tested or a conflict takes place, often one which produces something new and exciting. Having made a promise of change to yourself, as your ongoing coach we will help you keep that promise.

Accredited coaching

We apply the Institute of Executive and Leadership Coaching’s  (IECL) Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP). The program is internationally accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Courses are run in partnership with Charles Sturt University.

We have adapted this unique and proven program for the special challenges facing financial advisers and other advice professionals, working under Australian laws and pressures. We also customise our coaching for you, depending your situation and goals.

IECL coaches’ promise

For over 20 years, IECL have been specialists in individual, group and team coaching across all industries. It currently has more than 75 experienced and qualified coaches working across the globe.

The IECL coaching approach aims to support leaders at all levels to be at their best.  The IECL difference is “that we focus on the practical ‘how’, grounded in your day-to-day reality, not just the theoretical ‘what’. “*

Evidence-base

The unique and proven IECL approach draws on multiple disciplines, knowledge bases, experience, and evidence. Theoretical perspectives and methods underpin all IECL coaching engagements, including:

  • transformational learning, with its roots in humanistic psychology and collaborative learning practices
  • social science: critical thinking around the effects of culture, class, politics and gender
  • reflexivity: encompassing double loop learning and the practice of mindfulness.

IECL coaches use a range of diagnostic tools and techniques to teach their clients to become more self-aware, evaluate potential actions, and embrace challenges.

Why IECL coaching methods?

IECL coaches are consistently successful. Their evaluation data indicates excellent results across the board from goal attainment to wellbeing measures, ratings of the coaching experience and a world class recommendation (NPS).

IECL coaches undergo a rigorous coaching capability assessment against ICF competencies. They are required to commit to supervision and ongoing professional development.

An IECL coach’s business experience, presence and adaptability also helps to ensure their skills and coaching work powerfully.
